The former Wolfgang Puck Grand Cafe closed way back in August of 2017 to make way for Jaléo and although we don’t have an opening date or a menu quite yet, a new artist rendering has been shared courtesy of ThinkFoodGroup.
Once it opens, Jaléo will offer an extensive menu of tapas reflecting the rich regional diversity of traditional and contemporary Spanish cuisine. We’ve also learned that a quick-service location will be located outside of Jaléo and will offer Spanish street-food-inspired sandwiches and salads.
The outside of the building resembles an artichoke with the pergolas that can be seen along the roof structure.
Juli Capella, principal at Capella Garcia Arquitectura, said in a statement:
There are no cubic forms, no opaque walls, no straight lines: here reigns a plant-like organic structure with its dynamic forms. An avant-garde, expressionist and welcoming architecture.
