Believe it or not, it is almost that time of year again. The 2018 Epcot International Festival of the Holidays starts on November 18 and run until December 30, and Disney has just shared some interesting new details surrounding the food, merchandise, and entertainment at the festival.
A brand-new menu will be coming to the Feast of the Three Kings marketplace. It will include “sofrito-marinated beef with sweet plantains and olives, queso fresco-stuffed arepa topped with shrimp, crushed avocado aji and tomato sauce, as well as arepas topped with melted queso fresco.”
Additionally, the Bavaria Holiday Kitchen in the German Pavilion will be adding a black forest roulade with cherry whipped cream, the American Holiday Table will be adding a hand-carved smoked ham with green beans and sweet potato casserole, and the Taste Track marketplace will be offering three variations of croissant doughnuts. Lastly, a new marketplace will also be available.
Guests who love cookies should make sure they track the purchases of “five select holiday cookies in your Festival Passport,” and then redeem a complimentary “completer” cookie and glass of milk at Holiday Sweets and Treats.
Of course, guests will find Festival of the Holidays merchandise found throughout World Showcase and at Mouse Gear, most of which feature Chip & Dale.
Speaking of Chip & Dale, the Chip & Dale’s Christmas Tree Spree Scavenger Hunt will return this year to the festival. Guests search for the iconic chipmunk duo throughout World Showcase, marking down when they find them using a map and stickers. Once they are done the guests show their completed map to receive a special surprise.
It was previously announced that IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth will be ending at the end of summer 2019. This means it’ll be the last holiday season in which guests can watch the “holiday-themed finale” of nighttime spectacular.
