Downtown Disney‘s dining lineup just got a major upgrade with the opening of the all-new Earl of Sandwich flagship restaurant.
The popular sandwich shop officially welcomed guests today at the Disneyland Resort, unveiling its largest and most ambitious location yet. While longtime fans will still find many of the toasted sandwiches that made Earl of Sandwich a favorite, the new restaurant introduces several brand-new dining experiences exclusive to this expanded location.
One of the biggest additions is The Carvery, an open-concept carving station where guests can watch premium pastrami being sliced fresh throughout the day. The new signature Earl’s Pastrami sandwich features slow-cooked pastrami, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, Dijonnaise, and Thousand Island dressing served on marbled rye bread.

Of course, returning favorites like The Original 1762® and The Full Montagu® remain on the menu alongside wraps, fresh salads, deli sandwiches, and other Earl of Sandwich classics.
Those looking for something sweet will also find an expanded bakery offering oversized cookies, freshly baked cinnamon rolls, and seasonal treats throughout the day.

Another first for the Downtown Disney location is The Pub, where guests can relax with draft beer, wine, frozen cocktails, and other specialty beverages.
According to founder Robert Earl, the goal was to create more than just another restaurant.
“We didn’t want to simply build another Earl of Sandwich. We wanted to create a destination worthy of the Downtown Disney District,” Earl said. “This new location honors our heritage while creating moments of discovery around every corner.”
The restaurant has roots dating back to 1762, when the 4th Earl of Sandwich famously inspired the creation of the sandwich. That history will be celebrated during an official grand opening ceremony on July 15, when Luke Montagu, the 12th Earl of Sandwich, is scheduled to visit the restaurant for the festivities.
The new Earl of Sandwich is now open daily in the Downtown Disney District from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 8:00 a.m. to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
The restaurant has a new, larger menu, fresh bakery items, and a new pub. It aims to be more than just a place for a quick sandwich. It could become one of the top dining spots in Downtown Disney.
