New Hong Kong Disneyland’s 20th Anniversary Event Guide

Later this month, just as guests of the Walt Disney World Resort are enjoying the kick-off of Flavors of Florida, Disney fans abroad will be in for a whole other celebration. Hong Kong Disneyland is hosting its 20th Anniversary celebration, and while the color scheme might be giving Disneyland 70th Anniversary feels, there are so many unique and exciting elements to this celebration that can only be found in the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. Remember those Parade Float artist renderings we saw back in April? Those are coming to life along with so many more magical details. Here are some of the things you can expect when visiting from June 28th, 2025!

Specialty Food & Beverages

There will be so much celebration food to enjoy during the anniversary event, it will be hard to decide what to choose. Special 20th Anniversary Merchandise

What would a Disney celebration be without some special merchandise to take home and spark the memories? Hong Kong Disneyland is offering so many unique merchandise opportunities during this event, we simply had to take a moment to show you some of them. I wonder if we will see some of these items in the new International merch release on DisneyStore.com?

Celebration Entertainment

“Friendtastic!” Parade 

The largest-ever in scale parade yet at Hong Kong Disneyland is set to debut in honor of the 20^th anniversary! Complete with 11 dazzling floats, around 100 performers and including more than 30 Disney characters, this is THE SPOT to catch all your Disney favorites.  

The Encanto float will bring Casa Madrigal to life with dancing tiles, glowing doors and flapping shutters. Red Panda Mei from Turning Red, Isabela from Encanto and Officer Clawhauser from Zootopia will even make their debut appearances at Hong Kong Disneyland during this all-new parade!  

From Mickey’s live drumming and Hong Kong’s signature bauhinia flower decorations to the vibrant colors of the performers’ costumes — every detail celebrates what makes Hong Kong Disneyland unique. You can catch the parade starting between Tomorrowland and Fantasyland all the way to the beginning of Main Street, U.S.A. 

Momentous: Party in the Night Sky!

The nighttime spectacular Momentous is about to become even more GRAND this summer with a special anniversary edition, Momentous: Party in the Night Sky!. For the first time, the show’s stunning castle projections are being extended all the way down Main Street, U.S.A.!  

This enhanced show will turn the evening into a 360° spectacle like no other with drones, illuminated water projections, choreographed water fountains, flames, lasers, theatrical lighting and pyrotechnics effects. Whether you choose to watch the show in front of the castle or along Main Street, U.S.A, you will surely be dazzled.  

Cast Name Tags

This one is a minor detail, but for some reason, it has a place in my heart. This week, Hong Kong Disneyland released the new design for their special 20th Anniversary cast member name tags, and I absolutely adore them!
