Plans for a new 246-room hotel have been filed by Orlando Westwood Loan Assoc., LLC. The name listed on the plans for this new hotel is TRU Hotel Orlando Convention Center, which could mean that the property will carry the Hilton name. TRU by Hilton was announced earlier this year as Hilton’s 13th brand. TRU by Hilton was said to be a more affordable brand with room rates in the $90 – $100 range per night but those rates will vary depending on the location.
Plans show that the new hotel would be located on Westwood Blvd near an Extended Stay America, Wyndham Hawthorn Suites and the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Orlando at SeaWorld.
