Walt Disney World has shared a brand-new look at Disney Lakeshore Lodge, and this one finally gives us a clear view of the resort’s water-facing side. The updated concept art, revealed to invited media on Thursday morning, pulls back the curtain on several details we hadn’t seen before, and it’s shaping up to be one of the most interesting resort projects on property.
The first thing that stands out is just how much of the design is centered around Bay Lake. This new rendering shows the full waterfront layout, including a dedicated boat dock that will offer direct access to Magic Kingdom. That alone is a big deal for convenience, but it also gives the resort a very classic Walt Disney World feel, leaning into that relaxed, lakeside setting.

Then there’s the pool area, which looks absolutely massive in the concept art. It’s got what appears to be a lazy river, water slides, and multiple pool zones. If the final resort actually ends up giving guests what’s shown in this concept art, it could very easily compete with some of the best pools across Walt Disney World.

One of the more exciting additions is the A-frame cabins seen along the shoreline. These cabins sit right on the water and are likely to be premium Disney Vacation Club accommodations similar to Copper Creek Cabins and the Polynesian Bungalows. Their location offers a quieter, more secluded experience than a stay in the main lodge, which will likely appeal to guests looking for a “home away from home” that is a little more tucked away from the hustle and bustle.

There are also hints of a waterfront restaurant and open gathering spaces that take full advantage of the views. The overall vibe feels very nature-forward, with inspiration pulled from films like Bambi, Pocahontas, and Brother Bear woven into the design.

Personally, I’m not sure where the “…looks like a generic Hilton” folks are coming from. My husband was a Diamond Hilton member for many, many years, and this beautiful resort looks nothing like any Hilton I’ve ever stayed in. But, I digress.
Disney Lakeshore Lodge is currently projected to open in summer 2027, and based on this latest look, it’s not hard to see why there’s already a lot of excitement building.
