Disney+ has announced that it will celebrate Star Wars Day on May the Fourth with the premiere of an exciting new documentary and the conclusion of a fan-favorite animated series.
Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian will take fans behind-the-scenes of the hit Disney+ series. During the eight-episode documentary, Executive Producer Jon Favreau will share interviews, never-before-seen footage, and roundtable conversations, with each episode explore a different facet of the show.
Topics will include the filmmaking process, the legacy of George Lucas, how the characters were brought to life, technology, artistry, creative influences, music, and connections to other Star Wars stories. There will be a new episode released each Friday for eight weeks, starting May 4th.
Also on May 4th, Star Wars: The Clone Wars fans will be able to catch the series finale. After seven seasons, the popular animated series is coming to an end.
The series, which explores the events leading up to Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, expanded the Star Wars story with “ground-breaking computer animation, classic characters, astounding action, and the timeless battle between good and evil.”
After a movie to kick off the story, five seasons on the Cartoon Network, and a sixth season on Netflix, the seventh and final season was available exclusively on Disney+, after an absence of nearly six years.
