New details have emerged for an upcoming refurbishment project in the Disneyland Resort, affecting amenities and select dining locations at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. From now until mid-May, guests will temporarily lose access directly between Disney California Adventure and the internal entrance to Disney’s Grand Californian, with construction work beginning on an updated entryway. Further changes will close the hotel’s Storyteller’s Cafe for several weeks with an alternate dining option available, as well as Napa Rose from April, with an expected reopening in the fall of 2025. Exciting things are underway at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, and select areas will be undergoing work to refresh the hotel and elevate the overall guest experience. As a result of this work, some offerings may be temporarily modified, and some spaces may not be available during this time:
- From March 10 through mid-May, we will begin construction on updated, enhanced entry gates leading into Disney California Adventure Park. During this time, guests can enter Disney California Adventure Park through an alternate entrance located next to the hotel.
- In March, Storytellers Cafe will temporarily close in its current location for a few weeks to refresh the restaurant’s kitchen areas. During this time, a modified dining experience will be offered in Trillium Room.
- Napa Rose restaurant will temporarily close in April for refurbishment and is slated to reopen in fall 2025. During the reimagining of Napa Rose starting April, Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures will be temporarily relocated to Trillium Room.
