I have always been a huge fan of the Magic Shots taken by Disney PhotoPass Photographers all around the Walt Disney World Resort. There are so many options such as Stitch popping out of the ground, Tinker Bell hovering above the palms of your hand, and making you appear to be holding a bunch of Mickey balloons about ready to float up into the air.
We’ve just learned about a brand new opportunity being tested at Magic Kingdom Park near the ‘Tangled’ restroom area that’s located near Peter Pan’s Flight and the “it’s a small world” attractions. You all know the iconic scene in ‘Tangled’ where Rapunzel and Flynn are in their little boat watching thousands of beautifully lit lanterns float down from above, right? Well, this photo op will give guests the opportunity to hold an actual lantern! As you can see in the photo above, the photographer will capture the other lanterns in the photo as well, magically transporting guests right into the scene of the movie.
Here is a look at a wider shot that includes more of the lanterns.
I’m really excited about this new, very magical shot and I hope you are too! Please share your photos with us over on our Facebook page or tweet them to us if you’ve experienced this. We’d love to hear what you thought!
Updated March 3rd to add: This opportunity from Disney PhotoPass is limited and will only be available through March 15th per the Disney Parks Blog.
