Hotels.com has released a new report stating that Orlando is one of the most affordable destinations in 2014. Hotel prices in the Central Florida city went up 5 percent to $103; prices in 2013 averaged $99 per night. The national average is $137 per night, a price that has also gone up 5 percent in the last year.
Neha Parikh, vice president and general manager, Hotels.com North American, said, “While U.S. hotel prices exceeded the global increase of three percent, travelers were not deterred from exploring top destinations and up-and-coming alike. Growing consumer confidence and lower gas prices contributed to a number of U.S. destinations reporting record visitor numbers in 2014.”
