Reese Witherspoon to star in Disney’s live-action Tinker Bell film

Disney has announced plans for a live-action film called Tink based on the character of Tinker Bell. Reese Witherspoon has signed on to star in the film and will co-produce with her production partner, Bruna Papandrea.

The script is being written by Victoria Strouse, who also wrote the script for the upcoming film Finding Dory, the sequel to Finding Nemo.

The plan for the film is to not to be an exact replica of Tinker Bell’s role in the Peter Pan story, but to tell Tinker Bell’s untold story and shed new light on her character.
