Star Wars: Episode VIII will be coming out a little later than expected. Originally set for release in summer of 2017, viewers will now have to wait until December 15, 2017 to see the next installment of the saga.
Episode VII is in preproduction right now and will begin principal photography next month. Rian Johnson is writer and director on the project; producers are Kathleen Kennedy and Ram Bergman; and J.J. Abrams, Jason McGatlin, and Tom Karnowski are the executive producers.
