The Disneyland Resort has confirmed a Summer 2017 re-opening date for several Disneyland Park attractions that have been closed due to construction on the upcoming Star Wars-themed area.
All of the attractions along the Rivers of America will return next summer, including Fantasmic!
Since Tom Sawyer Island has been reduced and the north riverbank re-imagined, there will new things to see while experiencing the rafts to Pirate’s Lair on Tom Sawyer Island, Davy Crockett Explorer Canoes, Mark Twain Riverboat and the Sailing Ship Columbia.
Also returning is the Disneyland Railroad, which will be traveling along a new path as well which will take it along the new riverbank on an elevated trestle.
Until the opening date is closer, guests can still get an up-close look at some of the engines and railcars at the Main Street and New Orleans Square stations.
No opening date has been announced for the new Star Wars-themed land.
