runDisney is continuing its partnership with Runner’s World, this time by launching a new digital event guide for the 2017 races.
The new guides will debut in January at the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend, which is a “designated Runner’s World VIP program event. All pre- and post-race events will be included and runners will be able to personalize their guides to commemorate the experience.
The pre-race guide will give runners a listing of the weekend itinerary and events, plus information from Runner’s World such as videos, race day preparation, tips on running, training, and nutrition. The post-race guide will include all of the runner’s race times, overall and age group rankings, and links to race photos.
All participants in the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend also receive trial subscriptions to Runner’s World magazine. Runner’s World will be part of a Speaker Series at the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo.

For the fifth year, Runner’s World is also offering a VIP program for the January event as well. Included in this program is:
- A membership in a 16 week (20 weeks for beginners) training plan designed by Coach Budd, who has coached thousands of elites, celebs, and everyday runners.
- Access to a customized Runner’s World VIP training plan on TrainingPeaks, an interactive training log, where runners can log their totals, watch their progress, and receive nightly email reminders about the next day’s training.
- Pre-race course strategy session at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex with the Runner’s World experts and editors
- Welcome Party with Runner’s World editors to celebrate the program’s fifth year at Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend (included with Dopey Challenge only)
- Entry to the Race Retreat on Saturday and Sunday (Marathon package includes access on Sunday only) and other VIP exclusives
