The decades-long tradition of discovering magic in every mile continues with the 2025 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend with Mickey Mouse and his best pals. runDisney has just announced the race themes for the weekend taking place from January 8-12, 2025. Each race includes touches of a classic Disney era where participants will find themselves inspired by favorite Disney characters, musical entertainment, and more.
There are four different races to choose from, plus the 20th anniversary of Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge. The Dopey Challenge will take you 48.6 miles across all four Walt Disney World theme parks.
Walt Disney World 5K
Channel your inner Pluto and race 3.1 miles like a dog with a bone.
Walt Disney World 10K
Get into 6.2 miles of fun with a pair of beloved chipmunks, Chip ‘n Dale.
Walt Disney World Half Marathon
Take on 13.1 miles with boisterous, feathered friends Donald Duck and Daisy Duck.
Walt Disney World Marathon
Cover 26.2 miles through all four Disney Parks, using two of the most iconic and fabulous friends, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, as your inspiration.
Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge
Complete both the Half Marathon and the Marathon races on pace and earn:
- Walt Disney World Half Marathon Medal
- Walt Disney World Marathon Medal
- Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge Medal
Dopey Challenge
Complete all 4 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend races on pace and earn:
- 4 Individual Event Medals
- Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge Medal
- Dopey Challenge Medal
That’s a grand total of 6 Medals and 48.6 miles in one weekend!
