Starting March 10 and going through April 16, 2017 is the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival. The festival includes unique food, wine, and even cooking demonstrations and lifestyle seminars that can be found throughout Disney California Adventure park. The Disney Parks Blog recently released a sneak peek at some of the merchandise that will be available to guests for the festival.
There is a large variety of items including men’s and women’s T-shirts, long-sleeved shirts, hats, cups, pins, shot glasses, wine glasses, and much more! There is even exclusive annual pass holder merchandise for the festival this year, including a T-shirt, and a limited-edition pin (only 2,000 available).
Merchandise for the festival can be found at locations throughout Disney California Adventure including Studio Store and Stage 17/Festival Gifts, merchandise carts located next to Wine Country Trattoria, and Seaside Souvenirs.
Mickey Mouse wearing his chef garb is prominent on the 2017 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival merchandise. The reasoning behind this was by Disney cast member Linda Votaw, who is in charge of the creation of special event merchandise. She said, “Mickey Mouse is pictured as a chef to give a nod to the many culinary delights guests will find during the event. We also incorporated a colorful wine glass to salute California’s rich history of wine.”
Linda also explained, “Guests will find different interpretations of the main Chef Mickey artwork used on the shirts. All of the apparel is connected with the use of wine-inspired colors that really make the artwork pop!”
