The latest installment in the Star Wars saga has been breaking box office records, and its official opening wasn’t until today. Episode 7, titled The Force Awakens broke box office records on Thursday night, December 17, bringing in a staggering $57 million. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ Part 2 was the previous record holder in the category, earning $43.5 million on its opening Thursday in 2011.
The good news for Disney and Lucasfilm continued into Friday when it was projected that the film would earn more than 0 million from Friday showings, breaking another record. كيف تلعب روليت In the short term, the other record in the movie’s sights is to beat the $200 million total for best opening weekend, currently held by Jurassic World, which pulled in $208.8 million.
