Another Magic Kingdom attraction is headed for a temporary closure this fall, and this one is showing up a little farther into Walt Disney World’s schedule than we’re currently able to see on Disney’s online calendar.
According to the My Disney Experience app, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is set to close for refurbishment beginning November 2, 2026. A reopening date is not listed at this time, so we don’t know how long guests should expect the attraction to be closed.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opened at Magic Kingdom in June 2024 after replacing Splash Mountain, taking guests on a musical trip through the bayou with Princess Tiana, Louis, and plenty of new critter friends along the way. The attraction uses the same ride system and flume infrastructure as its predecessor, including that very familiar five-story drop near the end of the adventure.
As with any attraction that relies heavily on water and operates outdoors every day, periodic refurbishment time isn’t particularly surprising. Disney has not announced what work will take place during this closure, however, so anything beyond the scheduled November 2 start date would be speculation at this point.
If you are planning a Walt Disney World vacation in November, this is definitely one to keep on the radar. Disney’s online operating calendar doesn’t currently extend far enough to display the November refurbishment information, but My Disney Experience is showing attraction availability farther into the future. That gives guests a little more advance warning, particularly if Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is high on their Magic Kingdom must-do list.
The timing also puts the closure shortly before the busy holiday season gets underway at Walt Disney World. Without a reopening date, we don’t yet know whether Tiana and friends will be back before Thanksgiving or if the refurbishment could stretch farther into the holidays.
For now, all we can confirm is that Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is scheduled to become unavailable beginning November 2. There’s no word yet on the length of the refurbishment or whether guests can expect any noticeable changes when the attraction returns.
