More exciting news from D23 emerged that the creative forces behind the Tiana integration into New Orleans Square in Disneyland have no intention of stopping with the attraction. We all know that Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will be part of the reimagining of Splash Mountain though reports are now confirming that it will be joined by a Tiana’s Place Restaurant and a brand new retail outlet.
The new shopfront will carry all things Princess and the Frog, as well as a specialty area focused on cooking. This aspect fits perfectly in line with the storyline of Tiana’s origin tale and would make an excellent home for a similar line of merch that we saw come out for the EPCOT Food and Wine festive earlier this year.
Disney Parks Blog commented on the retail outlet, saying:
An all-new retail store will be opening in New Orleans Square at Disneyland park on Sept. 20, 2022, called Eudora’s Chic Boutique Featuring Tiana’s Gourmet Secrets. Tiana is collaborating with her talented dressmaker mother, Eudora, to open this fantastic little shop, with accessories to create and serve masterful Orleans-style cuisine and more.

Tiana’s Place restaurant will be a reimagined space based on an existing dining location though it is not immediately clear where this will be. A more upscale feel in New Orleans Square could see the new establishment replace the current Cafe Orleans, though rumors have also been circulating that a more relaxed approach may be taken in remodeling the Hungry Bear Restaurant for an open-air quick dining option on the water. We will have to wait to see which way Disney goes with this.
