As a part of a recently held Disney media event, we had the chance to take a look at a refurbished room at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort. Let’s take a virtual tour together and get a feel for some of the changes that have been made.
The former rooms (pictured above) featured double two beds, a darker paint scheme, carpeting, and large furniture that had the potential of greatly reducing the available walking space in the room.
The newly refurbished rooms now feature a Murphy bed/table combo just to the side as you enter the room. When the bed is not in use, guests have the perfect spot to enjoy a snack, or a great work surface for the kids to get some (gasp!) leftover homework done before heading home.
The headboard features Huey, Dewey, and Louie fast asleep. Notice that the scenes depicted in their dream bubbles correlate with the three All-Star Resort hotels.
The bed is now a queen sized bed, and is on an elevated frame similar to those we’ve seen utilized in other refurbishments on Walt Disney World property. The increased space allows for easy luggage storage, thus creating more available floor space. Speaking of the floor, you’ll notice that the wall to wall carpeting has been removed, and a new hardwood-style laminate set on the diagonal has taken its place. The flooring being installed diagonally helps to visually enlarge the space. The dresser is not as deep as the piece that was previously used in the room.
The bathroom features solid surfaces that lend a sleek, clean and modern feel, and the tub/shower now has a barn door sliding enclosure.
The updated touches continue on the other side of the bathroom area, and shelves for storage are plentiful.
All of the regular rooms at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort have been refurbished.
If you’re on the lookout for a discount for All-Star Movies, be sure to check out the room only offer that is currently available. Guests can save up to 15% off of rooms at All-Star Movies for dates this spring and summer/early fall. If you’re in the market for a package offer, All-Star Movies is included in the Kids Eat Free promotion that’s available for arrivals on most nights May 25th through August 28th, 2020. Keep in mind that both the Kids Eat Free promotion and the room only offer must be booked by February 26th, 2020.

Deni loves all things Disney, and, in 2013, moved to the Magic from Maryland. Walt Disney World is her happy place, and she loves getting to share it with others. Deni and her husband of almost 26 years have 2 grown children. Her favorite WDW snack? A Mickey Bar, of course. Is there any other?!
