Starting Friday, February 13, guests visiting Disneyland Park will notice a small but meaningful change inside the Opera House on Main Street, U.S.A. Two of the park’s most iconic attractions, Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln and Walt Disney – A Magical Life, will now be presented daily on a rotating schedule.
Under the new format, Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln will be shown from park opening until 1:30 p.m., followed by Walt Disney – A Magical Life from 2:00 p.m. until park close. This schedule allows both shows to be offered every day, giving guests more flexibility when deciding which experience they want to see.
Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln has long been a cornerstone of Disneyland history. Making its first debut during the 1964–65 New York World’s Fair, the attraction showcases one of Disney’s earliest and most impressive Audio-Animatronics. The show blends American history with storytelling, featuring Abraham Lincoln delivering excerpts from his famous speeches. For many guests, it’s a quiet, reflective break from the park’s hustle and bustle, while also serving as a reminder of Walt Disney’s interest in innovation, education, and history.
More recently, Walt Disney – A Magical Life gives guests a closer look at the man behind the magic. The experience celebrates Walt Disney’s journey, creative vision, and lasting impact on entertainment and theme parks. Through archival footage, narration, and detailed presentation, the show offers fans a chance to connect with Disney’s legacy in a personal way, especially for those who enjoy the history behind the parks they love.
By rotating the two shows daily, Disneyland is making room for both nostalgia and storytelling to coexist in the same space. Whether guests prefer a tribute to American history or a deeper dive into Walt Disney’s life, this new schedule ensures that both experiences remain part of the daily Disneyland lineup.
