In advance of the April 7th opening of a new Harry Potter themed area, Universal Studios Hollywood has implemented a new pricing structure for online ticket sales.
The price for a ticket purchased at the gate is $95, however by purchasing online, guests can now save between $5 and $20, depending on the demand for tickets on that day they will be visiting. For example, purchasing tickets online for peak days or busy weekends would offer a $5 savings, while visits mid-week during the off season could be discounted $15 or $20.
Universal began using a similar structure at the beginning of the year, but has made a few changes and is now offering even greater savings. In addition to the added savings, Universal has announced that after the Wizarding World of Harry Potter opens in April, guests who purchase their tickets online will be able to access that area one hour early.
Universal hopes that by having guests plan ahead, they will be able to better manage their operations, plus guests will benefit by being able to lock in prices in advance.
When it opens, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will include two new attractions, two dining options and several shops.
