Walt Disney World Guest Captures Video of Lightning Bolt Strike at Hollywood Studios

Guests visiting Walt Disney World captured some remarkable footage Monday night of lightning at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Austin Coppock posted a video of the lightning strike to his social media channel and told ABC News in New York that he “saw the lightning near the Millennium Falcon and marketplace” within Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

Coppock reportedly told ABC News that his 10-second video of the lightning strike was cut off because the “boom of the thunder shook the ground and I let go of [the record button].”

According to the ABC news station, there were no immediate reports of damage to the theme park from the lightning although Rise of the Resistance has remained closed Tuesday. It should also be noted that these conditions are not uncommon in the summertime in Florida.
