Yesterday, the Disneyland Resort released a new commercial promoting Pixar Fest that the internet is abuzz over. The new clip includes a shot of Carl’s house from the movie Up floating across the skies above Sleeping Beauty Castle during the fireworks.
Pixar Fest begins April 13th and includes a new Pixar-themed fireworks show and Pixar Play Parade moving to Disneyland Park, plus Paint The Night heading to Disney California Adventure.
When Together Forever-A Nighttime Spectacular, the new fireworks show, was announced, Disney confirmed that Buzz Lightyear would be taking the traditional role of Tinker Bell and fly across the sky. However, this new commercial includes that brief glimpse of the fireworks that appears to show balloons carrying Carl’s house across the sky as well.
Disneyland has yet to confirm any additional information about the new fireworks show, but fans on social media, including Matthew Gottula (@DLthings on Twitter) have all but confirmed it. Before the commercial was even released, Gottula wrote, “Buzz isn’t the only character that will fly above the castle….”
