Pixar Fest official begins April 13th, but will continue throughout the summer as the makeover of Paradise Pier to Pixar Pier is complete. The event will feature a new fireworks show, two updated parades and a whole lot more.
Together Forever-A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular
Paint The Night returns to the Disneyland Resort, but this time the parade travels through Disney California Adventure, plus a new float themed to The Incredibles has joined the parade!
The Pixar Play Parade has crossed the esplanade and travels down Main Street U.S.A. at Disneyland Park. In addition to a new opening float feauring Luxo the Pixar Lamp and the Pixar Ball, characters from Up and Inside Out have joined the parade.
Paradise Pier in California Adventure has received a makeover and much of it is now known as Pixar Pier, combining several neighborhoods themed to different Pixar movies.
The Incredicoaster (California Screamin') anchors an area themed to The Incredibles.
Another neighborhood themed to Toy Story includes Toy Story Midway Mania and in 2019, Jessie's Critter Carousel will join the fun.
Some of the Games of the Boardwalk got a Pixar reboot and the gondolas on Mickey's Fun Wheel have been themed to Pixar characters. The attraction is now known as Pixar Pal-A-Round.
Ariel's Grotto and the Cove Bar have been transformed into the Lamplight Lounge.
The Sunset Showcase Theater in California Adventure features a film festival that includes several Pixar shorts, including Bao, La Luna, and Sanjay's Super Team. The festival has also expanded over to Disneyland Park where the Tomorrowland Theater is screening Piper, Lava, and For the Birds.
The Pixar Promenade features a new Pixar-themed musical group (The Pixarmonic Orchestra). Head over to Paradise Gardens for Pixar Pals charater meet and greets, crafts, and other activities for younger guests.
Dance with some of your favorite Pixar pals each evening at the Tomorrowland Terrace in Disneyland Park! A DJ keeps the music playing from 7:00pm to 10:30pm each night and you never know which of your Pixar friends will show up.
During Pixar Fest, Redd Rocket's Pizza Port has become Alien Pizza Planet - "A Better Place". The Toy Story aliens have delivered fresh pizzas from their home planet, including one of their favorites: Cheeseburger Pizza.
Paradise Garden Grill is serving a Mexican menu inspired by Coco, including Mexican Hot Chocolate
Throughout both theme parks, special food items have been added to both quick serve and sit-down restaurants, plus the candy kitchens have added some fun treats.
Special merchandise for Pixar Fest includes shirts, hats, pins, tumblers, magnets, ornaments, and popcorn buckets. There are some that feature the Pixar Fest logo, while others just highlight Pixar films.
