When your kids have been raised going to Disney theme parks and love collecting Disney character autographs, there comes a time when you need to switch up the autograph books that are commonly seen for sale everywhere. I’m speaking from experience, as I’ve got way too many said books kicking around my house. In my recent travels onboard Disney Cruise Line and visiting the theme parks, I’ve seen [what I think are] some pretty creative items being used to collect autographs, and I thought I might share them with you. These things are relatively inexpensive, so if you have multiple children, buying them for each of them won’t break the bank.
Pillowcases are probably my favorite item to have signed. First, they’re SO easy to pack in your suitcase as they take up as much room as a T-shirt. The other thing is that fabric markers are so much easier to come by than when my kids were little. You can find them at any craft store, and solid-colored pillowcases in different shapes and sizes aren’t hard to find either. You can do everything from throw pillows to the ones on the kids’ beds. So fun!
Does this gargantuan mug look familiar? I see them for sale everywhere and on the last Disney cruise I was on, I saw three kids carrying them around everywhere with them. Each one had a different color, but they all had Disney character signatures around them. I’d never seen that before and thought the idea was fabulous! Way to go, Mom! Again, you can find these in plenty of solid colors, so kids can have their favorite.

Some people like to embroider or stick initials made with vinyl to a canvas tote bag to customize it, but why not use it as a way to enjoy the Disney character autographs you worked so hard to get during your last Disney vacation?
Find it at Michael’s for $11.99
I love switching out my everyday wall décor with special pieces for specific holidays. When I saw this unfinished wood pumpkin wall hanging, I thought it’d be just perfect to bring along to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party or even on a Halloween on the High Seas Disney cruise!
Not only can you do holiday wood cutouts, but there are so many designs for every non-occasion, too. Some of us might like to display our Disney character autographs year-round. Ahem.

How about a letter made of MDF to hang on your kids’ bedroom doors? It’s a fun way for kids to have personalized souvenirs with their initials, avoiding mix-ups once you’re home. How fun for them to see it every time they go in and out of their bedrooms!
Get your letter at Michael’s today for $4.99!
Have you used any of these for character signatures? Let us know what other ideas you have!
