EARLY BOOKING OFFER RELEASED FOR WALT DISNEY WORLD IN 2024!

A Day at Disney – November 22nd, 2016

Hey everyone I am back to share another day at Walt Disney World with you! This is an on-going series of blogs that I will be posting about my time spent at Walt Disney World!

Today I got a late start. I had to finish up some news stories for the site before I could get out of the house, but by about 10:30 a.m. I headed over to the Magic Kingdom. I knew the minute that I parked that it was going to be a long day. The parking lot was packed. This early in the morning that wasn’t a good sign of what the park was going to look like.

Eventually I made it to the front of the Magic Kingdom, and I was right. The park was packed. I assume this is because of Thanksgiving being later this week. I can’t remember the last time I saw the park this crowded. Attractions like the PeopleMover had a 30 minute wait. You read that correctly! I had to take a few pictures of the Swiss Family Treehouse, and I assumed, “Well at least this won’t have a line.” I assumed wrong. Even the Swiss Family Treehouse had a 5-10 minute wait. I was shocked. I honestly felt a little stupid waiting in line there.

Honestly I felt bad for the families that are here visiting this week. I know, they should be happy they are at Walt Disney World, but they’ve paid so much money to be squeezed in a park shoulder-to-shoulder with people all week. Just two or three days ago the park was empty. I especially feel bad because this is one of the few weeks in the year that people can take off for work and school, so it isn’t like it is there fault. It is times like this when I realize how fortunate I am to visit during the slow periods of the year.

So unlike most days, today wasn’t the best day to spend in the Magic Kingdom. Besides writing articles today the other task I had to do was to take pictures, but it isn’t easy when the parks are this full because there are constantly people walking into the picture.

After taking the pictures I needed to take in the Magic Kingdom I headed over to Disney’s Grand Floridian. The lobby was the perfect place for me to write an article. Just quiet enough, and has big comfy chairs. Here I wrote an article, and put together another post for the site. After sitting there for about two hours I realized it was almost 4 p.m. and that I didn’t have lunch. So I headed down to Gasparilla Island Grill just to be reminded that it was closed for a refurbishment. I was starving at this point. Part of me wanted to walk to Capt. Cook’s, but I was just too hungry so I settled on eating at the pool bar. The pool bar ended up being a fairly good choice. I got a kid’s cheeseburger for $7.45 with tax. It sounds crazy, but I actually prefer the kid’s burger because it honestly it tastes better. Call me crazy!

Anyways that was about it for me today. It wasn’t a super thrilling day, but I promise to keep you guys up to date on what I am up too, and hopefully I’ll tell you about days a little more exciting then todays!
