Disney Parks might be known for their family-friendly fun, but they also offer a unique opportunity for couples to enjoy unforgettable moments together. Whether you’re strolling hand-in-hand down Main Street or savoring a candlelit dinner before enjoying Happily Ever After, the enchanting atmosphere sets the perfect stage for romance. From intimate spots to special experiences designed just for two, Disney World is a place where love truly comes to life, making it an ideal destination for couples seeking a fairy-tale escape. In honor of Valentine’s Day, I’m sharing 5 of my favorite romantic spots around Walt Disney World!
I Love Italy
Strolling around World Showcase is an easy day or night-date for two. But the Italy pavilion is perhaps the most romantic country at EPCOT. It offers a picturesque, European-inspired setting with cobblestone streets, charming Venetian-style architecture, and a spacious piazza.
Leisurely stroll along the quieter lagoon-side of the pavilion, which offers stunning park views. Some of my favorite Disney dining is also located here: Via Napoli and Tutto Italia. You can’t beat comforting Italian fare paired with a glass of red for a romantic date night! Or for an easy sweet moment in between your EPCOT escapades: share a gelato by the water on one of the terraces.
Now for an honorable World Showcase mention: Mosey over to the France pavilion for two glasses of bubbly from the Champagne Bar, and schedule some time to watch Impressions de France together.
Seven Seas Lagoon Stroll
A peaceful, hand-in-hand walk around Seven Seas Lagoon outside the rustling, bustling parks is perfect for some quiet time together. Plus, you get to take in those beautiful views of the surrounding Magic Kingdom resorts. Bonus points for catching the Electrical Water Pageant along the way, or stopping into Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto for a spell.
You can start your walk to the left of the monorail station outside Magic Kingdom. There are also plenty of benches along the way, in case you’d like to take a few breaks and reflect.
The Haunted Mansion
The iconic and intimate Magic Kingdom dark ride is the closest you’ll get to the tunnel of love. Board your Doom Buggy, hold hands through the dark, and tuck into your significant other as you enjoy the time-honored tradition of a classic suspenseful haunted house.
The overall sense of mystery, combined with the dark, gothic setting, offers a unique atmosphere for some brief smooches. This is also a great opportunity to quietly discuss your afterlife together. Do your plans align, after all?
Tomorrowland… At Night
Tomorrowland completely transforms once the sun goes down.
It’s perfect for a romantic evening out: the ambient music loop playing overhead, sharing a rocket for a nighttime ride amongst the stars on Astro Orbiter, enjoying a peaceful PeopleMover ride together, splitting an ice cream treat from Auntie Gravity’s… or the promise of squashing your significant other like a bug when it comes to scoring on Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin. Make Tomorrowland your one-stop for a Magic Kingdom date night.
Tree of Life Close-Up
We couldn’t leave out Walt Disney World’s wildest theme park, now could we? Between all of the trekking through adorable animal exhibits and hand-holding on DINOSAUR, consider an intimate explorational walk through the Tree of Life garden. This specific pathway is tucked away, so it’s often not as congested as other areas, and offers some really great close-up glimpses at the 300+ animal carvings found on the Tree of Life’s trunk and roots.
Have you enjoyed any of these Walt Disney World moments with your significant other? I’d love to hear some of your favorite memories!
