At Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park in Walt Disney World, the beauty of nature is always on display, especially with the frequent arrival of baby animals!
Dr. Mark Penning announced that Butternut, Biscuit, and Potato, the newest baby Asian small-clawed otters, have just debuted in Animal Kingdom. They are the smallest otter species, and were born back in December. They still depend on their parents, Kevin and Mae, to teach them how to swim and be an otter. Now, guests who visit Otter Grotto can see them swimming and exploring.
Thanks to the park’s conservation and breeding programs, guests often have the chance to see adorable new additions, from baby elephants and giraffes to gorillas, zebras, and more. These births not only entertain visitors but also play an essential role in global wildlife conservation efforts. Whether you’re strolling through Kilimanjaro Safaris or exploring Gorilla Falls, there’s always a chance you’ll spot some of the park’s newest – and cutest – residents.
