Is it a terrible Pumpkin-Chai Cupcake or an incredible candle from Marshalls? We’ll be the judge of that in this Disney Snack Attack!
We’ve had our fair share of Halloween and pumpkin treats this season and thankfully, most of them have been winners! Our next pumpkin adventure took us to Disney’s Animal Kingdom to try the Pumpkin-Chai Cupcake offered at both Restaurantosaurus and Pizzafari. Because we have the utmost respect for DinoLand U.S.A., we obviously went to Restaurantosaurus to have our latest seasonal treat.
You can do like we did and order the Pumpkin-Chai Cupcake via Mobile Order in the My Disney Experience app.
Pumpkin-Chai Cupcake – pumpkin-spice carrot cake, white chocolate-chai tea mousse, mocha buttercream, and caramelized apple filling for $6.29.
This is a beautiful cupcake! The pumpkin on top is perfect and looks so delicious plus who doesn’t love themed sprinkles?? After cutting into the cupcake, it looked a little less appealing.
The cake is incredibly moist and falls apart easily under the heavy layer of mousse and frosting. There’s also a fairly substantial amount of the caramelized apple filling.
While we didn’t hate this cupcake, we’re pretty inconclusive if we would order it again. There’s WAY too much going on with the ingredients – the combo of apple, pumpkin spice, chai tea, white chocolate, and mocha was too confusing. We did all agree the pumpkin spice cake was fantastic and we mostly like the caramelized apples. The strong chai flavor with the mocha over-powered everything else.
What we do know is that we had a great time recording this Disney Snack Attack and think you’ll have a great time watching it too! Be sure to let us know if you’ve tried the Pumpkin-Chai Cupcake or if there are any other pumpkin-flavored snacks we should try next at Disney World.
