I recently received a little bit of magic at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Walt Disney World. As an annual passholder to WDW, we had a chance to enter the virtual queue for Zootopia: Better Zoogether! Unfortunately, the queue was already filled for the day when I tried to enter the virtual queue.
We decided to visit the park anyway and see if we could experience the attraction. We were lucky; they were doing a surprise and delight for this attraction that had not yet opened. We were so excited, we thanked all the cast members as we went past them.

Once we got into the pre-show area, we realized just how noisy it was. I think this is the loudest attraction area we have visited in the parks. You couldn’t hear the announcements telling you how much longer till the show and other announcements. I don’t know if it was because it was evening and the kids were getting tired or what the problem was.

Additionally, I have a suggestion for those who are using the ECVs for the first time. Become familiar with how it works before you get in the queue. We were by a family that it took all of them to figure out Mom’s ECV to advance in the line.
When we got in to see the show, the loud crowd noise took away from the show. It seemed cute and enjoyable, but the loudness definitely detracted from the show.
We will go back in the morning someday to experience this attraction again and see if it is different.
So, the moral of the story is, if you really want to experience a new attraction and you can’t get a spot in the virtual queue, try going to the attraction. You might just get lucky.
‘Til next time, see you in the parks!
