Walt Disney World is expanding its convenient airport luggage transfer pilot program to include arriving guests flying Southwest Airlines into Orlando International Airport (MCO), starting November 18, 2025.
The service, which first launched as a pilot earlier this year, allows guests staying at select Disney Resort hotels to skip baggage claim entirely. Instead, they can check their luggage at the Southwest bag drop or ticket counter before their flight, and upon arrival in Orlando, their bags will be transported directly to their Disney Resort hotel.

This new arrival service is made possible through BagCheck, a trusted third-party provider, which will coordinate the transfer from the airport to the resort. Guests can expect their luggage to arrive at their hotel within roughly four hours of landing.
Eligible guests will begin receiving emails this week outlining the program details and how to register. According to Disney, travelers flying Southwest and staying at participating Disney Resorts Collection hotels can register for the luggage transfer between 30 and 5 days before their departure date.
The program aims to make vacation arrivals smoother for Walt Disney World visitors, especially families eager to get straight to the magic without waiting at baggage claim. Once registered, guests can focus on enjoying their first day at the resort – perhaps checking in, grabbing a bite to eat, or heading to the theme parks – while their bags are delivered directly to their room.
With the new expansion of this pilot program, Disney continues to streamline travel logistics and enhance the guest experience from the moment travelers arrive in Orlando. Guests can learn more about participating resorts and program details by contacting their travel planner.
