If you plan to visit Disney’s Animal Kingdom any time soon, be sure to stop into Dino-Rama to play some mid-way style carnival games and win exclusive DinoLand-branded prizes. These games, along with Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures, and Triceratops Spin are all set to close on January 13th, 2025 to make way for the future Tropical Americas land.
The “Fossil Fun Games” midway games of skill and chance are made for anyone of any age to play. These are a variety of classic carnival games like Basketball Shooting, Ball Toss, and Water Squirt Guns. Current prizes include various small, medium, and large plushies of Mickey and Minnie Mouse in Dino Institute-branded shirts, a Triceratops from Triceratops Spin, an Iguanodon from DINOSAUR with a Dino Institute logo, and DinoLand’s very own Cementosaurus with a Dino-Rama logo.
Each game costs 1 credit per round, and game credit vouchers are $6 each. Some strategy games only require two people to compete for a small prize, while some require 5-10 people to compete for a larger prize. Your best bet is to play as a family or friend group so someone in your party gets to win and pick a prize! There is one game of chance that only requires one person to play. Lately, Dino-Rama is pretty quiet in the later afternoon/early evening, so it’s easier to plan “solo” games with no other guests competing. Or if you need a bigger group for the chance at a bigger prize, plan to play earlier in the day.
Chester & Hester’s Dino-Rama officially closes on January 13th, 2025. Don’t forget to soak up the last bit of this (cheesy) dinosaur carnival theming, complete with fun house mirrors and one of few photo booths on property – a true relic – before they all go extinct.
