Where Are All the Photo Booths at Disney World?

Remember when photo booths were once the thing to do at your local mall? Today, I feel like we’re snapping more photos than ever with our phones. Occasionally, I long to take a series of photos with a friend or three squeezed into a tiny photo booth; no retakes allowed, and we get to share the quickly-printed perforated strips together. A sweet memory and instant souvenir. What better place for either of those than Disney’s theme parks?

Believe it or not, there are a few photo booth locations across the Walt Disney World resort! At least three of these booths offer photo strips, with two others offering “Driver’s License” cards featuring a small photo of you; appropriately located near the Tomorrowland Indy Speedway exit ramp and inside Test Track‘s SIMPorium — that name always gets me. (Note: Test Track is currently closed for updates.)

Here’s where you can find three photo booths offering photo strips at WDW:

• EPCOT – Head into ImageWorks, Imagination’s post-show area, for two photo booth options: one offering strips, and the other offering single-cell framed prints.

• Disney’s Animal Kingdom – Over in DinoLand U.S.A., my beloved, there’s a photo booth propped up against the blue fence surrounding Primeval Whirl’s old stomping grounds. (This booth is basically forgotten about. Go visit while you can! On a recent stop, my friend had to ask a Cast Member to plug the booth’s power cord in!)

• Disney’s Boardwalk Resort – As of writing this article, the double-sided photo booth at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort has been removed. However, a new one is on the way! Boardwalk management confirmed this would appear later this year. I’ll circle back and keep you posted!
• Resort Arcades – I haven’t stopped in these to confirm just yet, but I’ve heard there are photo booths inside some of the resort hotel arcades, including Pop Century, Art of Animation, and the Contemporary.

What’s even better, these elusive booths offer some extraordinary photo frame themes. Who knows how long those EPCOT ones featuring the old logo and Fountain of Nations will last? And they’re categorized as “2023” – what? We know DinoLand’s days are numbered, could that booth be going… extinct? Thank you, I’m here through Friday.

Even if the frames or locations must be updated, I hope these precious photo booths stick around on property!

It’s important to note that all of Disney’s Photo Booth locations do offer Disney PhotoPass on top of the instantly-printed photos or cards. Simply scan your MagicBand, pass, or photo card when prompted, and digital copies of your photos will appear in your My Disney Experience account. This is a nice backup service, but it’s definitely more fun to pick up the strip itself! Yay for physical media!
