Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom: Blue vs. Pink

The 50th Anniversary of Walt Disney World is coming to an end at the end of March, and with it wrapping up, I have an important question. Will Cinderella’s Castle return to the original gray and blue color scheme, or will they keep the pink castle?

Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom: Blue vs. Pink 50th-countdown-wdw With the 50th Anniversary coming to end, we wonder if the castle will change or stay the same once the celebration is completed. What do you think?

Let’s look at both castles and settle the debate on which one is better.

The Original Blue & Gray Castle

This castle, for many, brings back memories and is very nostalgic. It’s the one we have seen our whole life until it transformed into the 50th Anniversary castle. There is just something so classic and regal about this one, but it looks a bit bland when I look at these pictures now. I wouldn’t be horribly upset if they changed it because it’s the castle I grew up with. Will I miss the pink castle? Yes, but I won’t be upset.

50th Anniversary Pink & Gold Castle

I was very skeptical when Disney announced they would be changing the castle because they don’t have the best track record when it comes to that. The first time I saw it, I fell in love with it. I thought the pink added a nice flare to the park’s center; it brightened the area and reminded me of Disneyland Paris. I would hate to see it go away, but as I mentioned above, it wouldn’t upset me.

For me, it’s hard to choose, but in the end, I would pick the 50th Anniversary Castle over the original. Which castle do you prefer, blue or pink? Let me know in the comments below.

Hi, I'm Erica, and I write about all things Disney. Before working for The DIS, I was a theme park performer at SeaWorld, but I also performed at Disney. I have such an immense love for theme parks to the point I studied them in college.
