Shining at the center of it all will be Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom, which will add to its royal makeover from 2020 with new gold bunting, sparkling golden embellishments and other new enhancements, including a 50th anniversary crest warmly welcoming guests to the join the festivities.

A new nighttime spectacular, “Disney Enchantment,” helped kick off the 50th anniversary festivities at Magic Kingdom featuring new music, enhanced lighting, stunning fireworks and, for the first time, immersive projection effects that extend from Cinderella Castle down Main Street, U.S.A.

Joining “Disney Enchantment” is “Harmonious” at EPCOT, one of the largest nighttime spectaculars ever created for a Disney theme park. This new show features new interpretations of classic Disney songs, reimagined in more than a dozen languages by a diverse group of 240 artists from around the world.

“Disney KiteTails” comes alive several times daily at Disney's Animal Kingdom in the Discovery River Amphitheater. Performers fly windcatchers and kites of all shapes and sizes, while out on the water elaborate three-dimensional kites – some stretching to 30 feet long – depict Disney animal friends, including Simba, Zazu, Baloo and King Louie.

The magic is calling everyone to The World’s Most Magical Celebration, as the icons at all four Walt Disney World theme parks and beyond shimmer with breathtaking magnificence.

• Cinderella Castle illuminates Magic Kingdom with a dazzling radiance that sparkles with pixie dust.
• At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, a warm light emanates from the Tree of Life as magical fireflies gather to usher in the magic of nature.
• The Hollywood Tower Hotel at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is awash in a brilliance evoking the golden age of imagination and adventure.
• And at EPCOT, new lights shine across the reflective panels of Spaceship Earth, connecting to one another in a symbol of optimism resembling stars in a nighttime sky. The iconic structure’s permanent new lighting will continue beyond The World’s Most Magical Celebration as a defining feature of the park.

Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, Pluto and Chip ‘n’ Dale and many other beloved Disney characters will be part of a new collection of special golden character sculptures which debuted on October 1st across the four Walt Disney World theme parks. There are 50 characters featured overall, and guests will be able to interact with the “Disney Fab 50” in surprising ways as part of the 50th anniversary celebration.

Platinum-selling songwriter and music producer Alana Da Fonseca answered the call to create an original anthem for the 50th Anniversary, collaborating with award-winning composer Emily Bear and singing phenom Journi on The Magic Is Calling. Da Fonseca’s pop music style, Bear’s soaring orchestrations and Journi’s magical vocal performance come together to create a song that is all at once nostalgic, inspirational and contemporary.

As hosts of The World’s Most Magical Celebration, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse are dressed in sparkling new looks, custom-made for this special occasion. Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Pluto, Goofy, Chip & Dale also have festive EARidescent costumes for the celebration. Highlights of these celebratory designs include beautifully embroidered impressions of Cinderella Castle backed by fireworks, as well as a brocade in multi-toned, EARidescent fabric – all punctuated with pops of gold.

Guests can see the characters in their fancy celebration duds in the new Mickey's Celebration Cavalcade and periodically at the train station at the front of the park.

Joining Mickey and Minnie and the gang, Walt Disney World cast members will be at the heart of this event. They will demonstrate yet again why they are renowned for their commitment to service, consistently exceeding guests’ expectations by going above and beyond to make visits to The Most Magical Place on Earth special.

During its 50th anniversary celebration, Walt Disney World has introduced more than 150 new food items and drinks! We all know that Disney snacks and special beverages can be key ingredients for a day of fun at The Most Magical Place on Earth.

New menu items for the celebration offer nods to the resort’s past while pushing culinary adventures to exciting new places. These include theme park classics and some of Walt Disney’s favorite items, along with novel dishes and sips full of color, whimsy, and a touch of EARidescent shimmer.
