Did you know that June 2nd is National Donut (Doughnut) Day? Not that any of us need a reason to chow down on a yeasty, carb-filled, sugary ring of goodness, but when there’s a day set aside for it, by all means, we should do our part if we can. If you happen to be visiting or living close to Walt Disney World, several dining locations are serving up some indulgent-looking donuts today.

Let’s start with Everglazed at Disney Springs, where you can not only get some pretty fancy donuts every day of the year but “funky” donuts are often offered during certain times of the year, like the Pride donut you see in the image above. The ones on the left are classic vanilla-glazed donuts with different colored sprinkles. The Pride donut is a vanilla-glazed donut coated with candy confetti, glitter-dusted vanilla buttercream and topped with a sour rainbow belt. Plus, when you stop by today (June 2nd) and buy any 5 donuts, you get a classic donut free!

Eight Spoon Cafe at Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park is serving up an interesting-sounding Pulled Pork Jelly Doughnut Sandwich. This sweet and savory treat is described as a pulled pork-stuffed jelly doughnut with slaw.

If you’re looking for a vegan and gluten-free donut, Erin McKenna’s Bakery NYC at Disney Springs has got you covered with their Rainbow Donuts for Pride Month.

Vivoli il Gelato at Disney Springs serves an Italian Donut called a Bomboloni. This one combines gelato and the playful crunch of Froot Loops cereal.

A regular dish on the menu at Homecomin’, also located at Disney Springs, includes – you guessed it – DONUTS! A popular Southern dish at many restaurants is Chicken and Waffles, but Chef Art Smith serves it up his way with donuts instead of waffles.

Last but certainly not least, you may have stopped at a Joffrey’s Coffee Stand, there are multiple locations all around Walt Disney World property, and they offer a huge, delicious donut all day, every day. This treat is typically available in several different varieties and was one of my kids’ favorite breakfasts (of champions…ahem) to have during our Disney vacations.

Let us know in the comments section if you find any other donuts around Walt Disney World in celebration of National Donut Day!
