You might already know and love Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs from Downtown Disney at the Disneyland Resort, but we now have the extraordinary corn dog stand at Disney’s Boardwalk Inn Resort in Walt Disney World!
They have something called the Pickle Dog… and it comes with peanut butter for dipping?! I’m not going to try and explain myself here, let’s dive into our recent review of the menu. Hot dog, we tried three out of four!
Mexican Street Dog | $15.50
Jalapeño Cheddar sausage fried in Cornmeal Batter, topped with Garlic Mayo, Corn Kernels, Cotija cheese, and Cilantro, garnished with a Lime Wedge and served with a bag of chips.
This is the epitome of sweet heat. The Jalepeño cheddar-stuffed dog packs the most spice, and the street corn toppings are deliciously tangy. If you’re a fan of Mexican street corn AND corn dogs… well, you just can’t go wrong.
Pickle Dog | $15.50
All-beef Hot Dog wrapped in a Dill Pickle, fried in Cornmeal Batter, rolled in Panko Bread Crumbs, served with peanut butter and a bag of chips.
The breading tasted a bit sweeter on this one, versus the Mexican Street Corn. The pickle isn’t as dilly as we were expecting, and it may take some getting used to biting into a warm pickle, but this combo is so delicious. Something about it reminds me of a nostalgic school lunch. The peanut butter on the side is a kooky idea but it just… works. This was my favorite!
Golden Dragon | $15.50
All-Beef Hot Dog, fried in Cornmeal Batter, rolled in Pink Bread Crumbs, served with Sriracha Mayo Sweet Thai Chili, and a bag of chips.
This one had the biggest crunch of them all! It’s also the oiliest of the three. The two dipping sauces are absolutely necessary here and add a lot of flavor to the corn dog. Neither the dog itself or the sauces are too spicy. It’s good, but personally, I’d have to have a certain craving to get this one again over the other yummy options!
All three dogs we tried possess very different textures and flavor profiles, but we honestly enjoyed each one! It’ll be tough for us to choose just one on our next visit. We’re so glad Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs has made its way to Walt Disney World, and this is a great walk-up counter option for Disney’s Boardwalk Resort. Watch our full review here:
