Truffle fries at a Magic Kingdom quick-service restaurant? Say less. There are two things I know to be true – 1. Magic Kingdom typically doesn’t have the best quick-service restaurant options, and 2. Truffle fries are always the right choice. So you can imagine my excitement when I saw Columbia Harbour House is now offering truffle fries as both a stand-alone menu item or an upgraded side available with any entrée.
Columbia Harbour House is located across from the Haunted Mansion in Liberty Square at the Magic Kingdom. This large quick-service restaurant offers chicken tenders, fried fish, shrimp, salmon, lobster rolls, and clam chowder (and now truffle fries). Not only does Harbour House offer a unique menu, but there is plenty of seating, including my favorite – a section right above the walkway between Fantasyland and Liberty Square (pictured below).
Now onto the fries!
Black Garlic, Truffle, and Parmesan Fries – French fries topped with black garlic-truffle aioli and parmesan – $6.49
Add as a side to any entrée for an additional $2.00
I ordered the truffle fries as a side and thought it was a great value for the additional $2.00! The truffle flavor was plentiful and there was enough aioli and parmesan to enjoy with each bite. Honestly, they exceeded my expectations for a Quick-Service option and this will be on regular rotation for me from now on at the Magic Kingdom! And don’t let the bad lighting fool you, these are much more appetizing in-person.
Pictured below is the beer-battered fish with the side of truffle fries and while the fish is not nearly as good as that from the Yorkshire County Fish Shop in EPCOT, it was still fried perfectly with good flavor from the batter.
Even before adding truffle fries to the menu, Columbia Harbour House is a must-visit at the Magic Kingdom! The restaurant offers a quiet retreat and a welcomed-break from “typical” theme park food. Add truffle fries to the mix and you’ll be glad you visited!
