
Saturday Shaken & Stirred cocktail classes are heating up at The Edison in Disney Springs this summer, and we have all the details you need to know about. Each class is an intimate, hands-on experience guided by a private bartender, designed for both novices and enthusiasts, offering an enjoyable blend of education and fun for all. Here are all the dates and session descriptions you can start planning for now:
• July 19: Tiki Vibes: An overview of tiki cocktail culture and the Polynesian pop movement. And yes, there will be delicious cocktails too.
• August 2: The Suntory Story: Head to the land of the rising sun as we explore the history of Suntory and all it has to offer.
• August 16: Island Rumming: Climb aboard and cruise around the islands with these rum cocktails inspired by their unique geographical locations and complex history.
• August 30: Absinthe: Anise and wormwood and fennel, oh my!
• September 13: The Big Easy: New Orleans isn’t just known for jazz and great food. These cocktails will bring all the tastes of NOLA without leaving the bar.
• October 4: The Classics: An overview of classic cocktails and the culture behind them. Come join us and find out what makes these cocktails so enduring.
• October 18: American Rye: Explore the history of rye and how it differs from other types of whiskey. Fun fact: Rye was discovered well before bourbon and was the most popular pre-Prohibition spirit among Americans.
• November 1: Old-Fashioned Core Cocktail: All cocktails branch off from six core cocktails. Explore the balance, seasoning, and distant relatives of the iconic old-fashioned. Part of a continuing series.
