It’s that time of year for holiday lights and decorations at Walt Disney World. This year there is a new attraction. The Christmas Tree Trail at Disney Springs opened November 11 and will stay open through January 8, 2017.
The Christmas Tree Trail is located near the area of the old bus depot near Earl of Sandwich. You will see carolers at the tree lighting ceremony, Toy Soldiers strolling around, and holiday music playing. The trail itself is decorated with 15 Christmas trees. There is snow in the air but it doesn’t stay on the ground, the type I love in Florida.
We visited the trail in the afternoon before the crowds arrived to enjoy the trees, the snow and the music. There are 15 trees, all are inspired by one of your favorite Disney characters or story.
Mickey and Minnie
Villains
Moana
Beauty and the Beast
The Little Mermaid
Cinderella
The Princess And The Frog
Alice In Wonderland
Frozen
The Jungle Book
Mulan
101 Dalmatians
Tangled
Mary Poppins
The Muppets
If you are thinking the trees are a little small, you are correct. I am 5’4″ tall and I am as tall as the trees. This is the first year for the trees and I think they have some room for improvement. They have a large area for the trees but it needs something more. Maybe a canopy of lights over the trees. They also could sell refreshments back here like hot chocolate and cookies. There really is no reason to linger in the area once you see the trees.
This is free to everyone to visit and I hope if you are in the area you will visit the Christmas Tree Trail. If you do let us know what you think.
‘Til next time, See you in the parks!
