One of Disney Springs’ newest dining options is Six Ravens, a medieval-inspired quick-service restaurant that serves up savory handheld sandwich-style pies.
The restaurant is located in The Landing area of Disney Springs. It is close to Gideon’s Bakehouse, which is owned by the same creators.
Walking into Six Ravens feels like a step back in time. Inspired by the Tower of London and the Ravens that hold a historic presence there, the restaurant dishes up a variety of delicious yeast-roll sandwiches called “Coffyns,” which is the original term for a hand pie and was a popular pastry dating back to 17th-century England.
After entering through the imposing doors, hungry patrons are greeted by a torch-lit room where they can look at the menu and place their order. I felt truly transported into another place and time with the dark interiors and torch flames flickering against the walls. The lighting inside is dim, so if possible, I recommend previewing the menu before you enter.
Six Ravens offers a variety of “Coffyns,” so you’re bound to find one you like. From the cheeseburger-inspired “The Peasant’s Patty” and BBQ-friendly “The Wizard’s Wonder,” to the vegetarian option of “The Forager’s Find,” Six Ravens serves savory options suitable for everyone’s palate.
On my visit, I tried “The Imperial Idol,” which had a sweet potato and mildly spicy curry chicken served with Red Panda dipping sauce. The yeast roll was covered in seeds, which added texture to the overall sandwich. The sauce comes in a separate container with a small spoon, which allows you to add as little or as much as you’d like to the “Coffyn.”
Once I ordered at the counter, I waited inside the small, moody restaurant. When ready, my “Coffyn” came through a tiny, dark door in the corner and the cast member called my name for pickup.
Ordering was very efficient, and I easily took my meal to go. There is no seating inside the restaurant, but a quick walk to the shaded tables near the Aerophile balloons provided the perfect spot to enjoy my medieval meal.
If you’re looking for a to-die-for dinner option that’s quick, easy, and savory, I highly recommend finding your favorite Coffyn at Six Ravens the next time you’re in Disney Springs.
