Chef At Smiths Homecomin. I came in to see if they had a table for one so I could try the new Spicy Cauliflower Wings smothered in hot honey, and a mini hurricane rolled into Disney Springs.
As I ate these fantastic “wings” with the sound of thunder surrounding me, I started to realize this is probably one of the best spots to hide from a storm in Disney Springs. Not only is the food great, but the music they play throughout the restaurant is fantastic.
The staff here is out of this world and will let you hang out while the storm passes. While waiting for the storm to pass after I completed my meal and closed out my check, they brought me the menu again just in case I wanted to order dessert. Since my stay had been extended. The chairs here are pretty comfortable, so that’s a bonus.
I was sitting at a table, but the bar also looked like a good spot. The bar had plenty of open seats for anyone who wanted to grab a drink and hang out. Don’t forget you can order food from the bar as well. If I could offer any piece of advice, it’s to bring a jacket because the air conditioning was blasting, which made it chilly.
Homcomin seems like the perfect laid-back space to run to when a storm starts rolling into Disney Springs. If sitting inside isn’t your thing and you like to watch the rain, they have a covered outdoor patio. Part of the patio is screened in, and the other half isn’t, so keep that in mind.
Oh, and if you were wondering, the Cauliflower Wings were phenomenal, and the hot honey wasn’t too spicy but had a nice kick. These wings go for $14. I also ordered a side of veggies and potatoes for $8. This was the perfect “wait out a rain storm meal.” I would do this again even if it’s not raining.

Hi, I'm Erica, and I write about all things Disney. Before working for The DIS, I was a theme park performer at SeaWorld, but I also performed at Disney. I have such an immense love for theme parks to the point I studied them in college.
