The International Festival of the Arts has become my favorite festival at Epcot. I have visited the Festival of the Arts each year since it’s inaugural year, and have watched it grow and improve. There is such a wide variety of things to see and do that set it apart from the other festivals. If you are visiting the Epcot International Festival of the Arts for the first time, here are some must-dos for a complete festival experience!
Attend a Disney on Broadway concert– These concerts do not disappoint. The singers are absolutely phenomenal live performers, and the energy is always high. Showcasing tunes from lesser known Disney Broadway shows like Aida to songs from classic Broadway shows like The Lion King to music from the newest Disney Broadway shows like Frozen, these concerts are an eclectic mix of melodies and ensure that there is something for everyone.
Eat! The food at Festival of the Arts is not only beautiful, but also delicious. My favorite thing to eat at the festival for the past few years has been the Almond Frangipane Cake layered with raspberry jam from Pop Eats. This dense cake has been at the festival every year, and I always look forward to getting a piece. In 2019, the festival became even more of a foodie destination with many new food options available.
Check out the unique art experiences- The diversity of art available to see brings this festival to life. There are amazing acrobats who give stunning live performances. Each year, life-sized classic paintings allow you to become a part of the picture.
Paint by number murals permit you to become an artist, contributing to a massive painting.
Chalk artists create unbelievable images on the sidewalks of Epcot. There is always something new to see or do during this phenomenal festival, and I can’t wait to experience the 2020 International Festival of the Arts!
