When it comes to EPCOT’s International Food & Wine Festival, it feels like the food and drink options are endless. Picking up that Festival Passport is exciting, yes, but can be daunting. Where do you go first?! We tried quite a few menu selections on our first Food & Wine fest day, but these five really stood out and we can’t wait to get them again. You can’t miss these on your trip!
Cheesesteak Macaroni & Cheese
$6.50 | Located at MACATIZERS inside CommuniCore Hall
With shaved beef, peppers, onions, and bread crumbs, this mac & cheese dish surprised us with just how delicious and hearty it was! The macaroni spirals were cooked perfectly, and the cheese was thick and creamy; like a good, traditional baked mac and cheese. We tried the other MACATIZER offerings, but they pale in comparison to the Cheesesteak.
Chocolate Amarula Mousse
$6.25 | Located at REFRESHMENT OUTPOST
That’s right, the “giant Zebra Dome”. How could I not bring this up again? Everything about this = YUM. The lightly-sweetened mousse is creamy and fluffy, while the chocolate cake inside is rich, and the cookie on the bottom offers a satisfying crunch (unlike the “normal” soft mini Zebra Dome found at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge). Do. Not. Miss. It!
Wagyu Temaki Sushi
$9.50 | Located in JAPAN
This hand-held sushi roll holds sweet and savory American Wagyu beef, topped with Japanese Pickles and spicy mayo. The beef is very tender and juicy, complimented well by the spicy mayo. The pickles had a slight ginger taste, and balanced the flavor profile well. The entire roll is held together by seaweed and is very tasty. This was the winning Japanese dish across our team, and we can’t wait to get it again!
Griddled Cheese with Pistachio & Honey
$4.75 | Located in GREECE (between Japan and Morocco)
This is a returning Food & Wine item, and for good reason. Sometimes you just need a little plate of hot cheese, am I right? The honey adds some light sweetness to the cheese-stick like griddled cheese, and the pistachios add a nice crunch. The odd appearance may not appeal to the masses, but I believe the griddled cheese is a must-try for everyone. (And it’s gluten-free!)
Brioche Aux Escargot
$7.95 | Located in FRANCE
Yep, snails. They’re slimy… yet satisfying. France is one of my quintessential Food & Wine stops, and their varying versions of escargot play a big part. This year, a buttery and flaky brioche is filled with escargot and creamy garlic and parsley sauce. I can’t get enough of it. As a frequent Disney traveler, I trust the escargot offerings from two places: EPCOT and Disney Cruise Line. Don’t miss this limited-time delicacy on your trip!
