It is the holiday season, with gingerbread, festive fireworks and crowded park days in full swing, but we are already looking ahead to the next season at Walt Disney World. Spring might feel far away when you are surrounded by ornaments and hot cocoa, yet this is actually the perfect time to start planning your trip. Now that we have a better idea of EVERYTHING happening at Disney World in 2026, the weather will warm up before you know it, resort availability will tighten, and EPCOT’s most colorful event will be back in bloom.

EPCOT’s International Flower & Garden Festival returns March 4th through June 1st in 2026, transforming the entire park with thousands of blooms, character topiaries, fresh outdoor kitchens and weekend concerts that always bring in big crowds.

What makes this festival special is how easy it is to enjoy without over-planning. You can wander the promenade and snack your way through the booths, stop for topiary or butterfly garden photos, and still hop on your favorite attractions. It feels more relaxed than the fall/winter festival season but still packed with enough limited-time offerings that you can only experience if you visit in spring.

Your resort choice also plays a major role in shaping a great spring vacation. Spring means pool weather returns, so resorts with the top pools start filling quickly.

Disney’s Beach Club Resort and Disney’s Yacht Club Resort are perennial favorites because Stormalong Bay is basically a mini water park, complete with a 230-foot waterslide, lazy river, and sand-bottom pool! Additionally, there are three leisure pools found between the two resorts.

These resorts are also within walking distance to EPCOT’s International Gateway entrance (and the Skyliner over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios!), which is a huge perk during festival season. You can be inside the park in minutes and avoid the main entrance lines.

If you prefer a slightly more budget-friendly stay without giving up easy EPCOT access, Disney’s Caribbean Beach, Pop Century, and Art of Animation resorts are all strong picks thanks to the connected Skyliner.

Top resort locations and popular dining reservations disappear first in the springtime… If you want the sunniest (without too much humidity!), flower-filled version of Disney World, now’s the time to lock in your trip!
