It’s merry Muppet time! The Electric Mayhem is ready to rock around the Christmas tree! Walt Disney Imagineering has shared a new video preview of the holiday additions coming to Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and there are some adorable details to look for.
The attraction’s first Christmas season brings the hilariously named Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets: Obligatory Holiday Overlay, running November 4, 2026, through January 6, 2027.

The Imagineering video gives us a closer look inside G-Force Records, where Scooter now sports a Santa hat in the preshow. Behind him, a Christmas tree features colorful incandescent lights, adding some more holiday cheer to the recording studio.

Further in the queue, there’s a plate of Electric Mayhem and musical instrument-shaped Christmas cookies, including Kermit’s banjo! The treats sit on a Christmas-themed plate atop the milk crate where some of the rats normally play cards.

Even the “Squeakeasy” gets a little Christmas decorating, with a miniature wreath hanging on its door. And don’t miss the updated countdown animation featuring Animal, which now includes ugly Christmas sweater and gingerbread-inspired graphics.

A New Holiday Playlist
Disney previously announced four seasonal songs for the attraction, featuring The Electric Mayhem alongside some familiar musical guests:
- “Holiday Road” – The Electric Mayhem featuring Kermit the Frog and Fozzie Bear
- “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” – The Electric Mayhem featuring Jennifer Hudson
- “Silver Bells” – The Electric Mayhem featuring Cyndi Lauper
- “Little Saint Nick” – The Electric Mayhem
The holiday experience also includes festive music outside of the attraction, while the preshow follows the band’s preparations for their Christmas concert. Limited-time themed PhotoPass frames will also be automatically added to your on-ride photos!
The Muppets only took over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster in May, so this marks their very first holiday season at Hollywood Studios. And considering how much I love both the Muppets and Christmas at this park, I’m especially excited to see this one in person!
