Last week we looked at the new massive EPCOT Pride mural near Connections Eatery and the one at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Today we are taking a moment to see the ones over at Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom.
Magic Kingdom Mural
At Magic Kingdom, the mural can be found on the famous Purple Wall in Tomorrowland, just like last year. They did change the design and brought the word ‘love” to the center of the painting instead of having it in the bottom left corner. A PhotoPass photographer was standing near the wall, ready to take pictures. I did not take any photos with this wall because the humidity really got to me that day, so I wasn’t feeling picture-perfect. The mural is beautiful, though, especially with the purple wall as a backdrop.
Here’s a look at the design from last year. Looking at them side by side, I can confidently say that I like this year’s mural more than last year’s. I like how they incorporated more of the Purple Wall this year.
Animal Kingdom Mural
The Animal Kingdom mural has also experienced a few changes, and I definitely prefer this year’s design. This photo opportunity is located across the way from Pizzafari and Tiffins, where the Lion King mural is typically. This year the design is a lot more colorful than before, but I do like both murals used at this park. Just like the other walls, there’s a PhotoPass photographer stationed here that can snap some photos.
I really love this photo opportunity, and the Magic Shot they have for Pride Month it’s just so fun. Here’s a look at last year’s design which I think is equally cute; it just lacks some color.
Out of these two new murals, I prefer the one at Animal Kingdom. Don’t get me wrong, the one at Magic Kingdom is great. I like the other design; it looks more inviting and eye-catching. How do you feel about these new versions of the Pride murals? Do you prefer last year’s design? Let us know!
Hi, I'm Erica, and I write about all things Disney. Before working for The DIS, I was a theme park performer at SeaWorld, but I also performed at Disney. I have such an immense love for theme parks to the point I studied them in college.
