We’re still in the middle of Halloween time, but we’re hearing more details on Disney Jollywood Nights as the winter months are slowly creeping in!
We just learned more about Glisten, the new ice-skating and projection spectacular happening down Hollywood Boulevard… However, I noticed some [small yet] exciting Muppety goodness within today’s Jollywood hubbub on Disney Parks Blog.
Of course, live in-the-felt Kermit and Miss Piggy are returning to Theater of the Stars to host Disney Holidays in Hollywood, where vintage Hollywood meets contemporary jazz flair, featuring character appearances from Belle, Tiana, Minnie Mouse, and Mickey Mouse performing to holiday hits.
As part of the special photo opportunities studded around the park, there’s going to be one themed to a “behind the scenes of The Muppets Christmas Carol“, set inside the Stage 1 Company Store, aka the old Muppets gift shop(!!!).
If you ask me, The Muppets Christmas Carol and Disney Jollywood Nights are a match made in holiday theme park heaven. Even though this is “just” a photo op, it’s a step in the right direction… right?!
And finally, upon exiting the event, all Jollywood attendees will be receiving six champagne-flavored Wondermade marshmallows in a Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy-themed box. Yum!
How cute is the design on that box? While this year’s Jollywood Nights merchandise collection has already been revealed, I’m holding out for some surprise Muppet merch.
We can only hope these small Muppet additions, albeit for a special hard-ticketed event, mean our precious Muppets Courtyard is safe from demolition.
Are you attending Disney Jollywood Nights this year? It’s all happening at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on select nights November 9th through December 21st, and tickets are available!
