When booking your Walt Disney World vacation, either online or through one of our Dreams Unlimited Travel agents, you might come across an option to select a Preferred Room at one of the Walt Disney World Resorts. So, what exactly is a Preferred Room, and how do you know if you want one? Let’s take a look.
In select resorts, Disney offers a slightly higher price to opt for what they call a Prefered Room. In most cases, this can be a room that is closer to the main building, the primary transportation hub, or special amenities like the pool. Selecting this room option will make it easier and quicker for you to get to and from your resort room as you navigate the hotel.
Some of the Walt Disney World Resorts are very large, and a room located toward the far end of the property can prove a bit more time-consuming to make your way to. While I have never felt like a distance to any of my resort rooms was unreasonable, I can see how this could be advantageous for those with mobility issues or families staying with young children.
In some cases, if a resort is partially sold out during the busy periods, a Preferred Room might be the only available option, in which case there is no reason not to enjoy the added benefit.
Let us know your thoughts on Disney’s Preferred Rooms. Are they worth the additional cost?
